Dow and S&P 500 Indices Rise in Wake of Fed Minutes

Dow and S&P 500 Indices follow the trend assumed by many U.S. stocks and shares in the wake of the release of minutes from the Feds December meeting.

Posting continued gains from a rising streak maintained since 6 November 2016, the S&P 500 posted gains of 0.56% at 20:00 GMT, climbing to 2,264.94, as many U.S. stocks and shares rise subsequent to the release of minutes from the Feds 2016 December meeting.

The Dow also posted modest gains of 0.36%, climbing to 19,943.0 at 20:10 GMT, rising well back into the 19900 territory after a considerable drop in the concluding trading sessions of 2016.

Buoyed by a weakened dollar, dollar denominated commodities have also risen subsequent to the release of the Fed minutes, and have posted gains across the board, with energies erasing many of the losses taken in Tuesdays trading session.
